David Duong currently leads the cryptocurrency research effort for Coinbase Institutional, creating educational materials and market intelligence for the institutional investment community.
His work focuses on market views, macro trends, tokenomics and systematic trading strategies for digital assets.
He was previously the Head of Latin America FX Research at HSBC managing coverage on emerging markets and has 20 years of experience working in rates, macroeconomics and quantitative modeling.
David has a BA in computer science and political science from Colgate University and a MSc from the London School of Economics. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Matt Hougan is one of the world’s leading experts on crypto, ETFs, and financial
technology.
He is the Chief Investment Officer for Bitwise Asset Management, the world’s largest provider of cryptocurrency index funds. He was previously CEO of ETF.com and Inside ETFs, where he helped build the world’s first ETF data and analytics system, the leading ETF media site, and the world’s largest ETF conference.
Matt is co-author of two publications for the CFA Institute Research Foundation: “A
Comprehensive Guide to Exchange-Traded Funds” and “Cryptoassets: The Guide to Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies for Professional Investors.”
He is a crypto columnist for Forbes, a three-time member of the Barron’s ETF
Roundtable, a member of the ETFdb’s ETF Hall of Fame, and the eighth person to
receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from ETF.com for contributions to the ETF
industry.
Hougan sits on the board of directors for Equbot, creator of the first AI-driven ETFs (in partnership with IBM Watson), and is a strategic advisor to multiple crypto- and financial advisor-related startups, including Blockworks, Stratifi, and Advisor Circle.
Ryan Rasmussen is the Head of Research at Bitwise Asset Management.
Prior to Bitwise, he held held a variety of corporate finance roles at Cetera Financial Group, a network of independent
broker-dealers with over 8,000 financial advisors and $300 billion in assets under
administration.
Before Cetera, Ryan was a business analyst at Oakley and spent time as a research associate at UK Trade & Investment in Sydney, Australia.
He is a graduate of the
Argyros School of Business & Economics at Chapman University, with a B.S. in finance and a secondary focus in graphic and web design.
